No Accounting or Tax Advice
Crosspost is a tool that automates bookkeeping entries. It is not a substitute for your accountant.
1. What Crosspost does
Crosspost is a bookkeeping automation tool: it posts your Zapper settlements into Xero so you do not have to capture them by hand.
2. What it does not do
Crosspost does not provide accounting, tax, financial or legal advice and is not a substitute for your accountant, bookkeeper or tax practitioner. The entries it creates are a starting point based on your settings, not a professional judgement.
3. You set the VAT mode
You tell Crosspost your VAT status and treatment, and it posts accordingly. Crosspost does not decide your VAT registration, your rates, or how a transaction should ultimately be treated for tax. Those decisions are yours and your accountant’s. If the settings are wrong, the entries will be wrong.
4. You stay responsible
You and your accountant remain responsible for the accuracy of your books, the correct VAT treatment, your VAT returns and other SARS submissions, and all tax and statutory obligations. Using Crosspost does not shift any of that to us.
5. Review before you rely
Please review the entries before relying on them, especially before finalising a VAT period or filing with SARS.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, our liability arising from reliance on the entries without review, from incorrect settings, or from any tax position you adopt is limited as set out in our Terms of Service. Nothing in this disclaimer excludes any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
7. Governing law
This disclaimer is governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa and is read together with the Crosspost Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
