Terms of Service
The agreement between you and Crosspost. By using the service you agree to these terms, together with the policies they refer to.
1. Who these terms are with
Crosspost is operated by Gainly, a South African business (“Crosspost”, “we”, “us”). “You” means the business or person using the service. By creating an account or using Crosspost, you agree to these terms.
2. What the service is
Crosspost reads your Zapper settlement data and posts the matching entries: sales, fees, VAT and the payout, into your Xero accounting, so your books reconcile without manual capture. What it does, and does not do, is described on our public pages and in the policies below.
3. Your account and eligibility
You must be a business (or acting for one) and able to enter a contract. You are responsible for your account, for the connections you authorise (Zapper and Xero), and for the settings you choose. Keep your access secure; tell us promptly if you believe it has been compromised.
4. The plan and billing
Crosspost is offered on a single subscription plan, with a free trial. Pricing, the trial, cancellation and refunds are set out in our Refund & Cancellation terms, which form part of this agreement. Billing is handled by our payment provider; you authorise the applicable charges for the billing cycle you choose.
5. Your responsibilities
Crosspost is a bookkeeping automation tool, not an accountant. You set your VAT mode and settings, and you and your accountant remain responsible for the accuracy of your books and your SARS obligations. This is set out in full in our No Accounting or Tax Advice disclaimer, which forms part of this agreement. Please review the entries before you rely on them.
6. Data and privacy
How we handle your information is set out in our Privacy Policy, and how we process your financial data on your behalf is set out in our Operator (Data-Processing) Terms. Both form part of this agreement. We process your data only to provide the service.
7. Acceptable use
Use Crosspost only for its intended purpose and in line with the law. Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse- engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the service, use it to infringe anyone’s rights, or connect accounts you are not authorised to use.
8. Availability
We work to keep Crosspost running reliably, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may carry out maintenance, and we may change or improve features over time. Where a change is material, we will give reasonable notice.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, our liability arising out of or in connection with the service, including reliance on entries without review, incorrect settings, or any tax position you adopt, is limited as described here and in our disclaimer. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including under the Consumer Protection Act where it applies.
10. Suspension and termination
You may cancel at any time as described in our Refund & Cancellation terms. We may suspend or end access where these terms are breached, where required by law, or to protect the service or other users. On termination, your data is handled as set out in the Privacy Policy and Operator terms; your Xero ledger is left untouched.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version and its “Last updated” date, and we will communicate material changes. Continuing to use Crosspost after a change means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa. For anything relating to them, reach us through our contact form.
