The Problem
A catering business had no website and no way for customers to pay a deposit to secure an event booking. Enquiries came in by phone or word of mouth. There was no online presence and no mechanism to capture and confirm business digitally.
What Was Built
A WordPress site with WooCommerce handling the e-commerce layer — product listings, event packages, checkout, and payment collection — and PayFast as the payment gateway, which processes South African card and EFT payments directly.
The site was built to be manageable by someone without technical knowledge. Content updates, new menu items, and package changes can be made without developer involvement.
The Outcome
The business has a live, bookable web presence. Customers can find the business, read about what's offered, and pay a deposit to secure an event. The business captures and confirms bookings digitally without manual follow-up for every enquiry.
